As I may have written back in 2012, I got a job in R&D. Sadly, I had to leave my position at the end of the year once my contract had reached its completion. However, now that I've finished my university modules (HECK YEAH, I'M GRADUATING, BABY!), I was searching for another job, and my old boss put in a good word for me and got me a position in another dept. I am very grateful, but am realising that I am not cut out for the duties of this position. In fact, upon reading this article, I have 3/4 of those reasons. Even sadder, is that I have rambled and ranted about my dislike of my current position since about a week in, and caused quite a bit of friction between me and my friends. I leave my apologies here, and an offer of my own listening, patient ear, should the need ever arise.
So, now I'm currently looking for another position, and waiting out the completion of this contract, though I am tempted to just give my week's notice, but then again, I want to have a name as a person who keeps their word..... Hhhhhmmmmmmm.............

Earthbenders usually are generally muscular, tough, and direct, and like all benders their technique reflects on their individualized personalities. The people of the Earth Kingdom are generally proud, persistent, and enduring. Earthbenders also typically go barefoot to increase their connection with the earth and their power.
The fighting style of earthbending features heavily rooted stances and strong kicks and punches that evoke the mass and power of the earth. Earthbending is often centered around taking your opponent head-on, and striking directly.
Earthbending is the element of substance and the key to it is neutral jing. Neutral jing is involves waiting and listening for the right moment to strike, and when that moment comes, they act decisively. In other words, Earthbenders generally endure their enemies' attacks until the right opportunity to counterattack reveals itself, then strike with unyielding force. The other two main types of jing are positive when fighting back, and negative when evading.
Earthbending uses a balance of strength and defense to overwhelm opponents although Waterbenders have a more refined version by channeling defense into offense.
Earthbending requires decisiveness, for when the time come to strike, it must be done without hesitation or uncertainty. If one lacks determination, the earth will not respond to their will. Being connected to the earth is also a very important aspect of there spirituality.
The first Earthbenders were Oma and Shu that learned how to bend from the Badgermoles. For the Badgermoles, Earthbending wasn't just fighting, but more of an extension of their senses and their way of interacting with the world. The Badgermoles are the only original animal bender that is not on the brink of extinction.
Despite plants being counted as earth by some, Earthbenders can not control plants. They control the ground and rocks. The most common substance that is bended is the ground though sand can also be bended which is obviously is called Sandbending. Earthbenders can even bend mud which the Waterbenders can also do. Some Earthbenders can also feel the vibrations of the ground which is called Seismic Sense.
Master Earthbenders can also bend metal, due to the fact that metal is just a type of processed earth. There are still small amounts of earth located in metal. This ability is called Metalbending and is the sub-skill of Earthbending.
Earthbender's weaknesses are not having a distinct connection with the earth. Another weakness is wood and metal. Earthbenders can not bend wood and most of them can not bend metal. Also, since they are strongest when they have a distinct connection with the ground cutting off this connection can give an Earthbender's opponent the upper hand.
Some Earthbenders in the series are Toph, Avatar Kyoshi, Haru, King Bumi, The Boulder, Xin Fu, and Tyro.
